How do I get started?

How accurate are your transcriptionists?

We have a 99% accuracy rate by hiring exceptional transcriptionists that we train using your specific vocabulary, as well as a database of potential errors.

What is your turnaround time?

We currently offer two turnaround time options to meet your needs. We offer STAT (2 hours or less) and Routine (24 hours or less). Coming soon – Ultra Stat with a turnaround time of less than 30 minutes.

Can you provide coverage when our full-time transcriptionist is sick or on vacation?

We can cover during your regular transcriptionists’ absences or when additional coverage is needed.

Do I have to pay a monthly fee for DocMT?

There is no monthly subscription fee. You pay only for the transcription services you need.

Can I talk to my transcriptionist?

One or more transcriptionists will be assigned to you, and they will learn your specialized vocabulary, the custom appearance of your transcribed documents, and any other special ways you have of doing things. You will have the ability to call, instant message, email, or Skype with your transcriptionist. To contact management, call us at .

Can I place multiple recordings in one voice file?

You can dictate as many recordings (documents) as you want in a single voice file.

What type of digital voice recorder do I need?

Use a digital voice recorder such as an Olympus or Philips recorder or a digital microphone connected to your computer to record digital voice files. We can help you configure your software to send us the voice files.

Do you work with magnetic tapes?

Unfortunately, we are not able to work with magnetic tapes.

How are documents delivered to me?

EMR users: We will transcribe directly into your EMR.
No EMR: Your transcribed documents are transcribed in the template format you specify.
DocMT’s Transcription Management System (TMS) Users: After logging into the online system, review completed transcribed documents, edit if desired, and electronically sign them online. Then, download, email, print, and/or fax them at your convenience.
NO EMR and not using DocMT’s TMS: We can email your text documents to you or you can download them.

What is TMS?

Our Transcription Management System (TMS) incorporates an online database of your transcribed documents for you to easily review, sign, download and/or distribute by fax or email. There is a small extra charge for using this system.

Can I automate signing and delivery?

Yes, you can automate the entire process of signing and delivery.

How many different transcribed document templates can I have?

You can have as many templates as you require.

How long are my transcribed documents archived?

All approved reports are archived as long as you utilize our service. This search-enabled archive is very convenient to track your records.

How secure are my documents?

We have adopted the latest security practices in networking and data storage to ensure data security during transmission, transcription, and during storage. We continuously update our systems to integrate the latest technological advances.

Can I update my account profile and users online?

Yes, using your institution’s or practice’s administrator ID, you can update your account details online.

Can I review my account activities?

Our online system is equipped with a reporting tool to show your activities for any time period you want to review (daily, monthly, yearly). Your account balance, account statements, invoices, and payment information are all available online.
